Easter Fun

We attended an Easter egg hunt the weekend before Easter that Molly just loved.
She was so good at gathering eggs, we had to tell her to stop! Her basket was full and there were lots of other kiddos to share the fun.
Here are a few pictures of our time at the hunt...

"Punkin" Patch

Well, it's that time of year again & we've been out hitting the pumpkin patches! Molly had so much fun picking up the pumpkins. Ever since then she has been calling out, "Punkin patch, Mommy!" whenever she sees a pumpkin or two on someone's porch.

Here she is picking up some "punkins".

This one's just right!

On another note, last weekend Rob and I had a ranch party to go to (remember, we live in Texas)! It was such a fun time and we got to see a beautiful part of the state just a few hours from our home. The party was celebrating the 70th birthday of the man who started the company where Rob works. I won't bore you with all the details, but let's just say that everything really is bigger in Texas- even birthday parties. The best part was getting our picture taken with a longhorn. Yes, a real live longhorn steer!! Good thing we have the photographic evidence to prove it...

Just thought this was too funny not to share!

Fairy Pictures

A few weeks ago, we had a fairy photo shoot in The Woodlands at Market Street. Here are the results...SO cute!! Thanks to Jennifer for doing such a great job. My girl was not in the best mood that day!

Scarecrow Festival???

So, I mentioned in my last post about our Saturday plans ending up being not what we planned after all. Well, today we went to the scarecrow festival in Chappell Hill, Texas. It's about an hour or so drive from here, and Rob's mom is on the way so we picked her up and headed out. I had seen a blurb about it in my Southern Living magazine, and thought it sounded like fun. There was supposed to be a petting zoo and pony rides for the kiddos. Well, they should really call it the scarecrow market- 'cause it was just a bunch of vendors selling stuff! Don't get me wrong, we made the best of it & ate plenty of what I would call "fair food", but the funny thing was that we maybe saw a handful of scarecrows. Molly did some shopping and found a metal rooster she loved...

She's a true Texan! He was wearing a cowboy hat & boots.

Since Molly says a "t" for every "c" sound, she was calling the scarecrows "staretows" & wanted to touch them. (You know, all three of them that were there!)

Cutest "staretow"...

We had great fall weather today, and really enjoyed spending family time together. It was a good day!

Rainy Saturday

I realize it has now taken me over a week to get back to this- what can I say? It's crazy around here! Anyway, these last two weekends we've had big Saturday plans that have ended up being a bit of a disappointment. Last Saturday, we had planned to go to National Night Out and see firetrucks, ambulances, and police cars: something we knew Molly would love. As we drove to the park, it began to drizzle, but by the time we got to the park and loaded Molly in the stroller the rain started to get heavier. Long story short, they were shutting it down when we got there. We had planned to meet our friends there and then go to dinner, so not wanting to give that up we decided to try to kill some time. (Not too easy with 2 two-year-olds!) We tried to go to the children's museum at the mall, but it was closed, went into the mall to ride the carousel and it was closed too. Eventually, we all ended up at the pet shop & the kids had lots of fun. Molly really liked the birds and the turtles, and never knew or cared that our plans turned into a mess! Here are some pictures from that outing...

We're here...

Okay, we are now entering the blogging world...wow, kind of anticlimactic...
Anyway, this will be a place where all the fam and friends can keep up with us & our busy lives! (Please note- I did say "busy", meaning this will not be updated every day ;)
Check back here soon... I'll be getting some pics up in the next day or so!
